What's new in Parsec 3.10

📁 Enhanced File Management

No More Preview Size Limits

The 15MB file size restriction for previews has been removed. You can now preview larger files directly within the app without downloading them first.

Faster Large File Uploads

Uploading many files at once has been significantly optimized. Whether you’re migrating projects or backing up data, large batch uploads complete faster and more reliably.

Real-Time Sync Progress Tracking

When synchronizing files with the server, hovering over a file now displays the exact upload progress percentage—no more guessing how much longer your sync will take.

Multiple File Downloads (Web)

On the web version, you can now select and download multiple files or entire folders at once instead of downloading each item individually.

🔍 Better Search & Organization

Cross-Workspace File Search

The My workspaces page now supports searching across all your workspaces simultaneously. Finding a specific document is faster regardless of which workspace it’s located in.

Profile-Based Sharing Filters

When sharing workspaces, you can now filter users by their profile type—making it easier to manage access permissions for teams of varying sizes.

💻 Desktop App Improvements

Unified Title Bar (Windows/Linux)

The app window and title have been combined into a single, cleaner title bar for a more modern look and reduced visual clutter.

MacOS Native Menu

Mac users can now access common actions (logout, navigation, help, settings) directly through the native macOS menu bar.

Favorites Renamed

Starred workspaces are now called Favorites for clearer terminology.

👥 Workspace Ownership Safety Net

If all workspace Owners have been revoked, Administrators and Members with the highest remaining non-Owner role can now promote themselves to Owner. This prevents workspaces from becoming permanently inaccessible due to ownership issues.

🔐 Permission Changes

Local Network Access Request

Before enabling PKI web authentication, the app now explicitly requests local network access permission. This ensures transparency around what system resources the app uses.
